Using Spotlighting Technique with Stampin'Up! Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper
Today I want to show you the card I made Using Spotlighting Technique with Stampin'Up! Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper. When I spotted this paper in the catalog, It was perfect to color!
The traditional technique uses a well defined area to "spotlight" using a circle pattern, but I just used a less defined "spot". I chose the grouping of flowers and sprigs to color with the 2022-2024 In Color Blends for the focal point.
Now a bit closer. It is not perfectly colored and it just shows that you do not have to be perfect to make a wonderfully beautiful card.
Notice the shading of the color on the flowers---that's all accomplished with the designer paper. After coloring the selected image--I decided to include the small cluster of flowers on the right side with different colors.
This gorgeous set of papers offers you so many choices and each one is totally lovely. The best part of this set of designer papers comes with the fronts are florals & leaves and the back sides are geometrics. This allows the possibility of mixing the florals and geometrics for another set of beautiful cards.
The Love You sentiment is from Plentiful Plants. I just love the font and it was the perfect size to fit on the tag die cut from Tailor Made Tags. And of course, I added a pearl on the tag.
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.
