Stampin’ Up! Seaside Wishes with Pretty in Pink

May 6, 2024 by Patience Holt Leave a Comment

6 May

Welcome to my blog today. I have been playing with the new In Colors and just loving the versatility of our Stampin’ Up! products! This card is a collage of Pretty in Pink. I used the card stock, designer series paper, water painters and die cuts to put it all together. I even unraveled som Pretty in Pink ribbon!

Seaside Wishes is featured on page 73 of the 2024-25 Annual Stampin’ Up! When I first saw this bundle in the catalog back in March, I knew this bundle would be number one on my list! Get read to send oceans of kind words to family and friends with the Seaside Wishes Bundle! Create textured backgrounds with the hybrid embossing folder, a detailed ocean scene with layered sand dollars, or an elevated look with layered starfish die cuts. There are so many heartfelt greetings and nautical designs to discover.

Today’s Card

I started with basic measurements for the the layers:

  • Basic White (Thick) card base measured at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
  • Basic White card stock measured at 4″ x 5-1/4″ -2
  • Pretty in Pink card stock – I used scrap big enough for starfish

To get started, you will need a water painter and surface to mix ink and water. I used the ink pad and stamped it onto the largest acrylic block that I have. Then I painted areas in the embossing folder that I wanted highlighted with in on the card stock. Add your Basic White card stock and fun through the Stampin’ Cut Emboss machine. I love how it turns out and make a wonderful first layer to my card.

Finish your card by making a collage of the the sand dollars and starfish. I used sponge dauber to give the sand dollars color and also colors iridescent pearls with my Stampin’ Blends! I even unraveled the Pretty in Pink coordinating ribbon. Let me know what you think.
