From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. The Fourth of July 2020 is on Saturday, July 4, 2020. This year may look a little different but no less special than last year. Today’s project is celebrating with the cheerful and bright hues of Misty Moonlight and Poppy Parade.
With the help of Whisper White card stock, the colors blend together well as they have since the tradition of Independence Day that started back in 1776!
To create the background, I started with colors that I love to put together. The patter of the Designer Series Paper helps the card flow from one star to the next. With the thin layered front the stitched stars on top of the Misty Moonlight really makes the panel pop on the Basic Grey card base. I used my Tombow multipurpose glue to adhere all the die cuts to the front and Stamin’ Dimensionals to pop up the Poppy Parade star.
The awesome sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade onto Whisper White card stock and then cut out using one of the Ornate Frames dies – love that set of dies! I also used dimensionals to pop up the sentiment.
