Stamped with Love!

At first glance you may skip right over this stamp set when looking through the catalog. I jumped at the chance to order as soon as I could. My father was the mailman as long as I can remember. He knew everyone’s address and all the zip codes to everywhere. He was the smartest man I ever knew! I loved the fact that he was the mail man so when I saw this stamp set, it reminded me of him!

I made this card using colors that I associate with the post office. Reds and Blues. I thought it came together very quickly even with a little fussy cutting.

You may notice that this stamp set has copyright stamps in it, this is because it is an Angel Policy stamp set. Stampin’ Up! has an Angel Policy which means that they may not be copied without permission. I have included the Angel Policy in full at the bottom of this post for your information.

Start with a Poppy Parade card base that measures 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.
Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 4″ x 5-1/4″ and run though Stampin’ Cut Emboss Machine with TimeWorn 3D Embossing Folder.
Inside layer piece of Basic White care stock 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Cut a piece of Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper – Blue wood grain look4″ x 1-1/2″ for front layer and 4″ x 1/2″ for inside of card.
Using the Stylish Shapes Dies set – Die cut Basic Gray card stock – the largest circle for the front of the card.
I stamped the mailbox image on Basic White with Memento Black ink to get the small envelope image to fussy cut out and put onto the front of the Poppy Parade mail box image. You will have to Fussy Cut all the images because there is no coordinating die set for this stamp set.
I also traced the envelope lines with Smoky Slate blends to give the illusion of shadowing – on the large envelope and small envelope.
No card is complete without embellishments, so I added my all time favorites for some sparkle.
