I found the house before I actually knew what to do for the retreat. I had never hosted a craft retreat before. What? I forged ahead and rented the Wake Zone. Beautiful home on Lake Hamilton just outside of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Masterfully Made Suite of products for the Win! This is the suite of products that I designed my Retreat Yourself to the Lake project around! I have had 1 day retreats before, but never an over night retreat and certainly a weekend stay retreat. So, when I jumped in - I was ALL IN.
I spent a couple of months planning, making lists and a little freaking out, but when I got a peek at the catalog in April, I knew what suite of products I would be using.
Masterfully Made Suite Collection as shown on pages 102 & 103 in the 2023-24 Stampin' Up! Catalog. Each attendee received a $50 swag bag of products which included the Masterfully Made 12"x12" Designer Paper and matching Adhesvie-backed Sequins Trio, along with other goodies that you can see in the pictures below. You can see the projects in another post later in the week.

Lake Hamilton was the setting just outside of beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas. There was 10 of us and we had a great time. Some of us arrived on Thursday and some on Friday, a weekend packed with crafting, fun, food and fellowship.
This home was the perfect place for a small group to get together and was perfect for my first ever retreat. My friends Kay Cogbill, Deana Loyd and Karen Robinson, all helped in different ways on this endeavor!
As you can see that the Prize Patrol was a Hit! Each guest went home with a brand new stamp set. Karen received Friendship Royalty, Ronnie received Handmade Hugs, Gail received Vertical Blooms, Jackie won Hello Kiwi, Shawna won Layering Leaves, Sue received Bird's Eye View, Susan received Stamped with Love, Kay won Courage & Faith and Kay got Super Cool. The Grand Prize winner went home with the Gorgeously Made Bundle and that was Jackie!
We had lots of fun stamping, talking, looking at the lake, eating, laughing and enjoying the relaxing retreat! Below are more pictures of our time.
Due to an unforeseen emergency (not on our part), we had to leave the home a few hours before I had anticipated. There were 4 of us still hanging around - so we put it into HIGH gear! Kay, Ronnie, Jackie and I packed up all the crafting supplies and leftover food & drinks into my car. What was organized and packed beautifully at the beginning was no more..... LOL. It was so worth the chaos because we had such a wonderful time.
Retreat #1 - In the Books!
If you are not currently working with any other Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I would love to work with you.
Just loved this event! The house was gorgeous, the food was fabulous and plenty of it! Large work areas, fun events and great prizes and all the goodies! Our make in takes were beautiful! I really loved and plan on being at the next retreat! Gail Tudor

I loved the crafting and the goodies in the goodie bag were the icing on the cake. Does it make me a nerd that my favorite goodie was a ruler?!? It was so cute!
